“If You Can Describe It, I Can Design It”

Just a Little about Me :

As an avid snorkeler, my perspective of beauty comes from both above and below the waterline.  Inspiration flows in waves, alternating between the flowers and wildlife on land, to the inhabitants of the tropical reef and other wonders of the sea.  My childhood dream of becoming a professional artist was overshadowed by the belief that an art degree was needed from some distinguished college. As much as I loved to draw & create, art as a profession seemed like a far-off fantasy. For many years I worked different day jobs but almost all of my spare time was spent being creative with other “budding artists.” We met regularly to share techniques and elements feeding each other’s artistic abilities. Confidence in my artistic abilities grew but sharing visions with potential clients was still difficult.

One day, standing outside of the Delray Beach Marriott, I was overcome with a vision for a mural around their pool bar.  After a brief conversation with the hotel manager and a few collaborative meetings, I was commissioned to paint my first mural and Art Explosion of South Florida was born!

My style of painting reflects my personality; brilliant, outgoing, and flowing.  That first mural at the Marriott has led to so many amazing mural opportunities; The City of Miami’s Seaquarium, the TV show “TANKED” on Animal Planet in Las Vegas, City Libraries, Scuba Shops in Key Largo, and even Sarasota’s Westfield Siesta Key Mall.

I have been honored to work  with community outreach programs, teaching  art to children in low income communities.  My artwork has been recognized and written about in the Palm Beach Post and Sun-Sentinel Newspapers, Marlin Magazine, Sarasota Magazine and Florida Design.

My passion for creating art continues to enable me to leave a positive mark in this world.
